Our History

Founded in 2007, GProcess was created in the heart of the Chilean copper mining industry in the city of Antofagasta. From the beginning we have focused on creating innovative and quality products that optimize operational processes in copper mining and production companies, specifically in the area of metallurgy. Our products are designed to be used safely and to cause no harm to the environment.

The development of the additive and grain refiner DXG-F7 is highlighted among the first studies realized by GProcess. By using this additive, copper cathodes achieve improved physical and chemical quality.

GProcess is currently present in over 20 electro-winning plants throughout Chile and abroad, helping clients achieve higher quality cathodes produced with this extraction method.

Company Milestones

To date, we have received a number of awards and recognitions for our work in the mining industry.

In March, 2010 GProcess was selected as a case study by Babson College in Massachusetts, to showcase the innovative nature of the company.
In May, 2011 GProcess was recognized for its contributions to the development and enlargement of the regional mining industry.
In February, 2012 GProcess was recognized by the National Institute for Industrial Property (INAPI) as an exemplar of innovation.
In October, 2012 the company´s founder was selected as an Endeavor Entrepreneur and GProcess was recognized as a high impact company for the successful positioning of DXG-F7 in the global market.

Grain Refiner Additive DXG-F7

Today, the grain refiner additive DXG-F7® is present in over 20 mining plants throughout Chile and in the world, consolidating its position as an excellent refiner for its quality and effectiveness improving the quality of copper cathodes produced using electro-winning.

Operational Characteristics of DXG-F7

100% natural

Innocuous to the solvent extraction (SX) process, tested and corroborated by two organics distribution companies.

Fast Dissolving

Does not clump and does not adhere to the walls of the tank

No Heat Needed

No need to expend additional energy - DXG-F7 dissolves at room-temperature.

Inviscid

DXG-F7 can dissolve in low volumes of water. 25 kg can be easily dissolved using only 1m3 of water or electrolyte.

No Hydration Necessary

DXG-F7 can be added immediately after preparation.

Measurable

It is possible to measure the concentration (ppm) in the electrolyte.

Less Product Needed

DXG-F7 is more efficient at preventing the development of nodes where the highest concentration of electric current is present.

Reduces Occlusions

DXG-F7 produces a more organized and compact copper crystallization process.

Improves Cathode Quality

DXG-F7 reduces the concentration of impurities in copper cathodes (S, PB, FE) and increases the yield of Grade A cathodes.

After-Sale Services

GProcess provides analysis services at no additional cost for all production plants that use the DXG-F7 additive.

Quantitative analysis of DXG-F7 on the electrolyte.
Cathode hardness analysis.
Optical microscopy of cathodes.

Shearing

Our lab is equipped with high-precision metal shearing machines that can cut through cathodes quickly, cleanly, and precisely to create test pieces for further analysis.

CNC Wire Cutting

This is a mechanized process by which pieces of metal are cut to programmed specifications. This way GProcess achieves the ideal shape of copper test pieces for analysis and microscopy.

Tensile Testing

Tensile tests measure the resistance of a material through applied through slow or static force. The speed with which a deformation occurs tends to be very slow.

Metallographic Analysis

This examination provides the micro-structural characteristics and makeup of a metal or alloy to then study the sample with optical microscopes.

Brinell Scale

The Brinell Scale is a standardized test of hardness where an indenter (or penetrator) made of tempered steel of varying diameters is used to test the hardness of the copper samples.
